This short documentary film deals with the legacy of radioactivity associated with nuclear weapons production from the Manhattan Project through the Cold War. Interviews with defense workers and civilians living near nuclear facilities indicate the effects of nuclear radiation on humans. Environmental contamination of soil and ground water at Oak Ridge and Hanford installations is also discussed. Some of the United States government's responses to those health related and environmental problems are chronicled.
