This work explores chronologically the cultural expression of topics related to nuclear war through two media channels: film and television. The author presents a collection of annotations of over 850 feature length dramas from 36 countries. An introductory chapter provides an analysis that examines similarities and repeated concepts in films and television programs. The majority of the book is devoted to the annotations, which are arranged by time periods beginning with a silent film in 1914 and continuing through the late 1980s. The valuable resource also contains a useful bibliography on nuclear films.
