This map contains over 300 locations for most of the mines, plants, and laboratories that composed the U.S. nuclear complex from World War II to 2016. Each site is referenced to a page in The Traveler's Guide to Nuclear Weapons by James Maroncelli and Timothy Karpin. Locations can be accessed directly by clicking on their map pins or by selecting from sections in the legend on the left side of the map. Each location has a box containing a brief description of activities at the site and a link to additional information. The sections follow the progression of materials from mining uranium to nuclear weapons testing. Color coded icons identify the locations of sites in each section. Google Maps allows the user to zoom in to the precise location of the designated facility.
