This edited volume focuses on the paradoxes inherent in nuclear issues facing the nations in the changing political environment of the Middle East. It examines the uneven treatment of different nations by the U.S and European nations based on diplomatic and strategic factors. Finally it presents possible future developments in the region including the idea of a nuclear weapons-free zone. The author, Mehran Kamrava, is Professor and Director of the Center for International and Regional Studies at Georgetown University's School of Foreign Service in Qatar.
