TITLEDon’t Bank on the Bomb: A Global Report on the Financing of Nuclear Weapons Producers
DATE ACCESSED27 September 2017

This report identifies the organizations that finance companies that manufacture, modernize, and maintain nuclear weapons and their delivery systems. In its summary of the current (2011) nuclear forces of the nine nuclear states, it indicates that in 2011, those states spent a total of more than $100 billion in U.S. dollars on their nuclear forces. The report includes data on over 300 banks, insurance companies, pension funds, and asset managers from 30 countries with significant investments in the 20 major nuclear weapons companies. It also provides details on the activities related to nuclear weapons and delivery systems of those 20 companies. The report is accessible in sections, and the site provides a drop-down menu listing the nuclear weapons companies discussed in the report. Produced by the International Campaign to Abolish Nuclear Weapons (ICAN), the report is intended to enable readers to identify organizations that support nuclear weapons in order to encourage boycotting of and divestment from such companies as an effective means of advancing the goal of nuclear abolition.
