Through photographs, historical documents, and eyewitness accounts, this website narrates the history of the Trinity atomic test site from its inception to its incorporation into the White Sands Missile Range in New Mexico. Resources compiled here explore topics such as building the test site, assembling the bomb, and the aftermath of the 1945 test. Historical photographs show various aspects of the Trinity test and site, and they are accompanied by brief explanation. The site also contains quotations from those who worked on the project, videos, maps of fallout and the test site, and a list of printed and online sources for further information. The website is part of the Nuclear Pathways project, the goal of which is to make information on historic and current nuclear issues comprehensible and accessible to students and the general public. The site is sponsored by the National Science Foundation's (NSF) National Science Digital Library program.
