The website of the International Panel on Fissile Materials (IPFM) contains extensive information on fissile materials used in both military and civilian applications. IPFM was founded in 2006 as an independent group of arms control and non-proliferation experts. Its mission is to analyze the technical basis for policies to secure, consolidate, and reduce stockpiles of plutonium and highly enriched uranium (HEU) from both military and civilian activities (About page). The website contains interactive maps, high resolution graphics with explanations, technical material, descriptions of IPMF projects, and research reports produced by the panel. The interactive world maps give information by country about the possession of HEU, nuclear fuel cycle facilities involving reprocessing and enrichment, and status on treaties and agreements. The reports include a review of progress on the fissile material (cutoff) treaty and its verification and detailed research reports on fissile materials in Russia and in France. All documents are freely available in PDF format, such as research reports on fissile material in South Asia, Japan, and the United States. The website provides access to a wealth of publications and information.
