TITLETransparency in Nuclear Warheads and Materials: The Political and Technical Dimensions
PUBLISHEROxford University Press
CITYOxford, England

Presenting perspectives of authors from many countries, this book examines the importance of transparency (meaning the opposite of secrecy in nuclear diplomacy) in efforts toward reduction and eventual elimination of nuclear weapons. The first part of the book examines the historic role and the current political effects of transparency. The second part deals in specific recommendations for how to increase transparency, not only regarding delivery systems but also concerning the number of warheads, the dismantling of warheads, and the storage of other nuclear materials. The third and final section is a brief summary with conclusions.
