RUNNING TIME117 minutes

This film version of Michael Frayn's award-winning play examines the legendary meeting between Niels Bohr and Werner Heisenberg at Bohr's home in Copenhagen at the beginning of World War II. It is an attempt to discern what was said at the meeting. The first act is a tour de force of nuclear physics, while the second act deals with the moral implications of nuclear weapons. Stephen Rea (playing Bohr), Danial Craig (Heisenberg), and Francesca Annis (Magrethe Bohr) are the only characters to appear. Two documentary segments at the beginning and end of the film present the play and the historical context of the meeting of the two luminaries of physics.
