TITLEDU Weapons 2001-2002
Web Access
Available online from Eos Life-Work

This report on depleted uranium (DU) weapons and their environmental and health effects, based on publicly available material, is freely available in full text at the Eos Life-Work website. The site maintains a full-text version of the original January 2002 report on the depleted uranium arsenals of the United States and United Kingdom and the possible safety risks posed by DU contaminants to civilians and military personal in Afghanistan. The report provides detailed descriptions and analyses of U.S. and U.K. weapons systems and their tactical military uses. It examines the shroud of secrecy that surrounds both countries’ DU programs and asserts that assessments of the enduring ramifications of DU contamination left by the two countries in Iraq, the Balkans, and Afghanistan are needed. The site also has a November 2002 update by the same author on the DU weapons that would be used in a potential war with Iraq.
