TITLEGeorge de Hevesy
CITYBristol, England

This is an interesting biography of George de Hevesy, a Nobel laureate in Chemistry. Born in Hungary, de Hevesy worked in the laboratories of Ernest Rutherford and Niels Bohr. He developed the radioactive tracer techniques for chemical analysis that became widely used in many fields of science. He also discovered the element hafnium with the Dutch physicist Dirk Costner. The author was a scientific collaborator of de Hevesy beginning in 1934, and is thus able to add many personal insights.
